An interesting battle is heating up between a number of A-League teams hoping to lure Harry Kewell back to Australia now that he hasn't re-signed with Galatasaray.
Sydney, Victory and Newcastle seem to be the front runners. Apparently Melbourne Heart had the chance to sign him last season but he was too expensive. His demands are high but he could probably easily get that at any team in Europe. I'm sure he would probably prefer to play for Sydney in his home town since I assume he would be bringing his family home with him.
I think he would be a good draw for the competition, I know I would go to see him somehow, even though I'm too broke to be a Glory member yet again next season and they aren't chasing him. The A-League is in some dire need of some better promotion. Crowds are dropping and their marketing has been terrible, failing to capitalise on the success of the Socceroos and probably costing a lot for almost zero impact.
