The Big Switch

Yep, I'm sick of Apple, sick of standards, sick of design, sick of innovation, sick of integration, sick of love... Just Kidding. No, I am in fact making the big switch in the IM world. I am discontinuing use of ICQ after 8 years of use. I am retiring my legendary database of ICQ users to my backup disk. ICQ's development on the Mac has become stagnant and I'm just sick of all the bugs. iChat is to become my full time preference, so if you would like to get in touch with me, I suggest you add my screen name to your buddy list: theguycalledtom iChat and ICQ talk to each other (if ICQ users bother to authorize you which is the kind of attitude ICQ users have that is encouraging me to switch). However, since the majority of you who check back at this blog now and then have followed me blindly into the world of Apple, I suggest you follow me again and make the switch as well. iChat is in your applications folder. You can use your ICQ number to log into iChat or if you would like a fresh start try logging in with your Rocket Club/Apple Store/iTMS .Mac iD. You can also get a free AIM screen name from here.
